The Australian workplace website External Link provides a list of recruitment information and links relevant for small and medium-sized businesses.

Australian JobSearch

Australian JobSearch External Link provides free services to businesses to help them find the right staff for their jobs. Businesses need to register on this page to access services that include a resume bank and free advertising of job vacancies.

Employer Hotline

The Employer Hotline External Link is a free service to help all businesses wishing to lodge vacancies or find out more about the benefits of Australian Job Search and Job Network. Phone 13 17 15 .

Job Network

Job Network External Link is a national network of around 200 private, community and government organisations that can help you find the right person for the job. They may also be able to assist with wage subsidies, training or other support.

General online job boards such as Jobsearch External LinkSeek External LinkCareerone External Link and Mycareer External Link provide lists of vacancies, links to recruitment agencies, career information and learning tools.

There are also a number of other organisations and information services that specialise in information and resources for mature age employers and employees such as:

  • Sageco External Link for workers over 45.

  • Greyhair Alchemy External Link a recruitment and job matching company for jobseekers over 50 and employers looking for mature age employees.

  • Business Work Ageing External Link for employers.

  • Aging workforce news External Link an American news and resources site for managing the ageing workforce.

Many local councils and chambers of commerce have also set up local seniors organisations that focus on the concerns of mature age people, and often provide advice, support and assistance in localised job hunting and placements for businesses. To locate the nearest relevant council you can visit the government business portal at www.business.gov.au External Link where you will find a complete listing of all the local councils and their contact details.
