Coates Hire Limited was the first to receive a Mature Age Employer Champion Certificate of Recognition at the Mature Age Employment Forum in March 2004.
Coates Hire Limited is Australia’s biggest equipment rental business and one of the Stock Exchange’s Top 200 companies. The average staff age at Coates Hire is 40 and over, with 20 per cent of its workers aged 50 and over. Coates Hire expects at least 10 per cent of all recruits to be aged over 50 as it recognises that mature age workers will be an ongoing and vital part of its operations.
